This playground redevelopment reflects the City of Vancouver’s commitment to creating safe, inclusive, and sustainable play environments for children and families. Landesign was entrusted with transforming the site into a vibrant, community-focused space, blending natural planting with modern play infrastructure.
The project integrates accessible play surfaces, new pathways, and tree protection measures to ensure long-term canopy health. Play zones are framed by planting beds, seating, and durable hardscape, offering spaces not only for children but also for parents, caregivers, and neighbours to gather. For Landesign, this project was about more than upgrading a play space — it was about building a neighbourhood hub that fosters play, connection, and community pride.
