Landesign offers a range of paved surfaces, including concrete unit pavers, wet or dry lay natural stone pavers, CIP concrete, and asphalt. Choosing the paving material best suited for your site, both practically and aesthetically, in one of the most important decisions you will make. Generally speaking outdoor surfacing in a climate as wet as Vancouver’s should be either concrete or natural stone. There are many choices of color and textures available in cast-in-place concrete, such as brush finish, saw-cut, exposed aggregate, sand-blast – as well as a wide variety of locally manufactured concrete unit pavers that come in a range of shapes, sizes, textures and colours. At a higher budget, there is an even broader range of stone now becoming available from around the world: limestone, marble, porcelain, granite, basalt, to name a few. Of course natural stone also comes in different shapes, sizes, colors and textures. It can be installed dry on a granular surface, or mortared in place. Occasionally, asphalt surfacing may be the best option for driveways and lengthy walkways.
